Asking to renew warranty compulsory as i am nt able to use software without activation code

Sir / Madam

I have purchased LIC software on my wife's name NIKITA Y KUMBHARE in after one year this company taken constant followup to renew the warranrty in 2009. I did not renew the warranty in 2009 but I got the activation code to continue to use my software without paying amt.

My PC was formatted especially C drive in 2010. LIC data backup taken only on c drive. so all data lost, to enter all information again i required to have LIC software.

when contacted them these people again asked me to renew warranty and asked me to pay 2206/- My question was to avail the service of software why to renew the warranty unnecessarily as warranty only provides new updates (new LIC plans lauched). which at present I dont require. I am in tremondous financial loss because i neither have any data to contact my clients nor the LIC policy history.

so i request you to look into this matter seriously, pl also guide me how i can teach lession to this company.
