Display problem

My laptop display is not working and even my battery has gone dead as soon as my warranty expired,

so i am not sure that if i should go for an extension of the warranty,

as i believe that doing that will get me into the vicious circle of warranty

extension year after year, if only you can assure me that this situation might not happen,

i will apply for the extension of warranty..
