Less Battery Backup

Dear Sir, i've purchased my HCL K21 PDC leaptop 2yrs back from now. During first year there were several problems occurred. But on the last day of warranty period, a new fault raised i.e. my battery life suddenly dumped to only 30 minutes. From that whenever i boot my laptop on battery it gets turned off suddenly. All of the time i've to run my laptop on external outlet.
What should be the better solution...??? Should i change my battery?
