Malfunctioning of battery

I have purchased HP OEM battery of notebook compaq presario c738tu on 23 march from GADGET WORLD (1ST FLOOR, OPP. BASANTI BAGH, SAI ROAD, BADDI TEHSIL NALAGARH, DISTT. SOLAN (H.P.). Now this product is not working properly and i want solution in my nearby place HAMIRPUR (H.P.) as i am able to walk properly. But unfortunately, i was told by HP SERVICE CENTRE, HAMIRPUR OFFICIALS, that this is our not responsibility and you have to visit the place from where you have purchased it. So it is a serious problem because nobody is paying attetion to my problem. So, please give attetion to my concern as soon as possible and this product is under warranty.
