Laptop formatting

Hello hp customer care,

my laptop model no is: hp pavillion laptop dv6704tu. I hd purchased it on 23 april. i want to

install xp or win os 2007 but it is not format bcoz of bios setting .my cd-rom drive not

working but i have external usb cd-rom.but there is no option of formating through external

cd-rom in bios.

please help me.sugget me what should i do.my system is not in waraanty.please help me.
