We are puchasing comuputer hardware and electrial parts from pune and outside maharashtra . we are paying every year more than 2 lakh octrai but before 1 week octroi inspector visited to our office and they found some parties name which we have not paid octroi (octroi amt is appr 5000/-)but this parties are in pune based they are supplying us directly so have not enquire regarding octroi applicable or not to parties.

octroi inspector charges us 5000/- penalty 50000/-

we have to pay this amt because we fill in this case we are not responsible for octroi payment,

please guide us and if possible send us octroi rules for maharahtra and pune.
