Warranty gift and faulty dvd write

I have not got my warranty gift of my lenovo laptop in two years. And also laptop is faulty because i had replaced dvd writer twice in warranty period. but from last 4 months dvd writer is not working and lenovo service center is saying to me to buy new writer. Why i would buy a new writer, i had taken warranty extension at the time of buying of my laptop.
