Delay in Supply of Cooking Gas

I record with great displeasure this continued agony

I am S. Muralikrishnan, resident of Thiru.vi.ka. Nagar Chennai -82 and am a consumer of INDANE cooking gas (Consumer No. 31323) through Mahaganapathy Gas Agencies.

I have a double cylinder connection. Once a full cylinder is taken - I'm able to use it for a family of 4 only for 28-30 days.

The restrictions on the booking (the agency says that they would be able to take booking only after 21 days of delivery of cylinder) and the prolonged delay in delivery (takes between 10-15 days from the day they take the booking) has made it a monthly ordeal.

By the time I arrange an alternate and borrow from my neighbour (my days for consumption starts ticking from that time), the cylinder gets delivered after a week and it becomes strenuous for the next cylinder

We read in newspapers that IOC has relaxed the 21 day booking criterion to facilitate streamlining of supply... But.. Alas!! the agency denies receiving any official order.

If steps are not taken in the right direction, we in the middle-class belt are going to be the most affected
