Fradulent charges and bad service

We have recently moved to Bangalore and got our ration card done. We then approached Indane Gas agency at Kormangala for the cylinder. Its been more than 2 weeks but we still dont have our connection despite having all the right documents.

This is how it has prolonged.

-Firstly the people there refused to give us a clear idea of what all is needed at one go.

-When we went with the relevant documents they told us that a stove was a compulsary purchase which we had to make

-Since we already have a 4 burner we dint want to purchase an addtional burner. For that we were told to meet the proprietor and consult him in the afternoon. We actually came early from work to meet the proprietor and he said there was no need to wait for me and you should have asked for a stove inspection at your place which they will charge for RS 250 .We agreed to that, however we dint find anyone come to our place on the agreed date. After 2 followups again with the agency we had a man come with some paper, he dint even do a inspection simply stood at the door and made me tick Yes for everything and asked me to pay for it which was ridiculous.

After that i went again went to the agency to request for the cylinder and make payment, this time around they said they need an affidavit stating that we are purchasing the gas cylinder from them etc. After getting it done again we couldnt meet the concerned person because he left for lunch a bit early that day.

The next day again when i went to make a payment, they asked me that i need to pay up around 2000 and odd, which included a charge for some apron of rs 190 and a pipe of rs 170 which we already have, since we refused, he again turned down our payment and said that we have to meet the proprietor

From the entire episode the only thing i can gather is this is sheer consumer harassment though we have fulfilled all the requirments and they just want to extort money on some grounds from us. I am a pregnant lady and i really need to get this done with soon. HOwever I realise that this sort of behaviour from the agency and having no easy way of complaining against them has put me into a fix where despite not being harassed i have no way to get myself out of this.
