Wrong commitment/Lack of communication

Dear Readers,

I am absolutely annoyed with the customer care/sales staff attitude towards customers including new customers.

I had visited the shop in Alwarpet having huge furniture showroom for purchasing a dining table. It was a Sunday (30th Oct'11) and on enquiring various models we shortlisted a 4 seater glass tob caglary Dining Table. There was an offer of 15% and we were given the price calculations considering the same. They were offering a 5% additional discount on usage of ICICI Debit/Credit card. We liked the model and finalised the same. However we did not have the ICICI card at that time and we informed the sales staff and the billing manager that we will return and buy the product.

Now I returned today that is two days after our visit and while booking they rejected the discount on the table. I was shocked to know that the offer was only till Sunday. It was completely annoying explaining the situation to 5 People including the store manager Mr. Afzal and still no cognizance was taken by them. On my first visit no sales person communicated that it was the last day of the offer and on top of it one sales executive confirmed to us saying the offer exists till Nov'5th. With this kind of attitude, I am completely frustrated with the shop and as a new customer the sales team has no respect. They made me wait for half an hour to reach the manager who also declined the commitment.

This is so pathetic considering such a large store and brand value. I am absolutely agitated as a new customer.

I have decided never to visit the shop to buy any merchandise. My advice please get the commitments written from Sales staff if at all you want to go though these hassles.

Hope a responsible person at lifestyle reads this and ensures better attitude from sales team.
