POWER OUTAGE

I am writing this complaint on behalf of at least 100 other people staying in the Takka area of Panvel. There is unauthorized and frequent shut down of power every day. Sometimes the shut down is for 5 minutes, at other times it is up to 3 hours. On an average, there is a shut down happening 5 times every single day.

Every tuesday, there is a shut down of power supply for about 8 to 9 hours.

On calling and/or meeting Mr. Kadam of MSEDCL, at first we were told that due to rains/bad weather the power goes off. Now, the excuse given is that the highway work is going on, hence the electricity is shut down.

The frequent power outages are creating havoc not to mention the damage it causes to electronic appliances viz. refrigerators, television, computer etc.

There are a lot of students living in the many housing societies in the area, who have to suffer from this unauthorized shut down of power supply. Even though it is a zero load shedding zone, and we are charged extra tariff for the same, we have to face the power outage EVERY SINGLE DAY.

What is sickening to observe is that many times, in broad daylight, the styreet lights are on and consuming power which is a criminal waste of resources.

Under the circumstances please register this complaint and follow it up, for which we shall be entirely grateful
