We were planning to become a franchisee of Aspire Learning Co. Pvt Ltd. and had met their executives at their office at 2nd Floor, Archana Apartments, New # 23, Sarangapani Street, T Nagar, Chennai - 600017, Tel: 044-2834.1086; 2834.2296.

We met the officials on 21st January and paid a token advance of Rs.10, 000 and told the officials that we would make the final payment and sign up the agreement on 28th January.
But we changed our mind to take up the franchisee on the 23rd based on some developments in my husbands career which would have meant that we would be moving out of Chennai at some point in the near future.
Based on this development we promptly informed Mr. Rama Ganesan over phone on the 23rd January itself, to which he suggested that we come over to the office and speak with his superior Mr. Praveen and explain the situation.
We visited their office on the 25th of January and met Mr. Rama Ganesan and Mr. Praveen and explained our current situation and our inability to take up the franchise. We also apologized for the inconvenience, to this Mr. Praveen offered that we take up the franchise and when we move out of Chennai, he will refund all our investment. He said he will speak with his management and confirm if his proposal to us is acceptable to the company, we also asked him for 2 days time for us to think through his proposal.
The very next day, we called Mr. Rama Ganesan (26th January) that we would not like to take up Mr. Praveen's proposal and requested them for refund of Rs.10, 000/- that we had paid as a token advance. No receipt was issued to us as Mr. Rama Ganesan said we will give one receipt at the time of signing of agreement, to which we agreed on trust. The money has been paid to the company vide cheque number 770442 dated 21st January drawn on ICICI Bank, Nanganallur, Chennai Branch.
Now even after repeated follow up over phone and mails, they are not responding and are not refunding my money.
Pls help me recover my money from them.
