AP State Syllabus Text Books

I asked for 9th class AP state syllabus text books at CENTRAL BOOK STORE, TARNAKA, that were available in the store but they refused to sell to me unless bought some stationery with these books. I would like to know if busying stationery is compulsory to buy these text books. The staff and owners of the store are extremely rude when we ask for something.
