Annual day celeberation with tickets

My daughter is studying in Little Elly school, Bannerghatta road. It is a pre-primary school. They are conducting Annual Day celeberation. All parents have paid 1000/- towards this, when most of other schools are not charging this much amount. Issued free passes for parents. But they are issuing entry passes cost 200/- for any other person, including siblings and grandparents. Is it legal to do this? Should they need to pay tax for this? These kind of celebrations are free entry for other schools. This school did the same this last year also.
