M.B.A (I.R.M) in the distance mode under B.U
Review

Respected Sir,

I would like to draw your kind attention to this fact that I was admitted to the M.B.A (I.R.M.) program under the distance mode in 2007 (July). I completed all the papers, except the paper code 205. I secured 60% and 59% in the 1st and 2nd semesters respectively. I am unable to know the result of the 4th semester. I appeared for this paper for the 3rd time on 19.12. and in the last month. the result got published. In this field, the course remains invalid, and I have no scope for applying for review, as there is no rule for review in the distance mode. Hence, there is a total wastage of money, time, and energy. I am an unemployed girl. In my academic career, I never waited for a second chance, except this M.B.A program. I completed the B.A with Hons. in English with 57.87% under the University of Burdwan in regular mode, and completed the M.A. in English inder the same university through the distance mode with 52.62%(not waited for second chance). With your kind permission, I want to inform you that I attempted 6 or 7, 23, and 32 marks in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd chances respectively. I secured 27 and 36 in the 1st and 2nd chances respectively. I also completed the assignment paper. I was not permitted to apply for review, as the rule prevents. But, I was permitted to appear for the examination (205, for the 3rd chance) without admit card, as the admit was somehow sent to the study centre in Kolkata;but I always appeared from the study centre in Burdwan (WIIL Academy, Birhata). At the time of the examination, I got enlisted in my own handwriting with the enrolment number (DDE/IRM/JULY/70) and signature. This is also not included in the rule. Please, do not think this is my allegation, rather an earnest request to consider my situation. I am really in a great depression. Please do some positive, so that only the qualifying marks can be obtained. I was asked to collect the admit card on the date of the project viva, that was on the 25th of February, and after that I was asked to collect the admit card after a week, I went to do so, but the printer was not ready, and I was asked to come after a month. Naturally, I went to the distance building in the first week of the month of April, and got the card. Please do some positive. It is my earnest request to you. Please consider my situation. After all, rules and regulations are made for the welfare of mankind. I know that there is no place of emotion, but I am requesting you to consider this fact from the humanitarian point of view.

N.B. I sent mails to the Director (Distance Education of Burdwan University), the Assistant Controller of Examination, but received no reply. There is the scope for review for the regular M.B.A students, then why should the distance M.B.A. students be deprived of this opportunity? There is also the scope for review for the distance M.A. students. Then why does this partiality occur? Please do the justice. After all, the rules and regulations are but made for the welfare of the mankind. it is the appeal of a helpless student to all the viewers of this message
