UGC Stipends

I Studied M.Tech from 2010 in Andhra university. I joined through GATE Score in counselling. We were entitled to receive Rs.8000/ per month as stipend and Rs.10, 000/ as contingency amount. So total amount is Rs.2, 02, 000/-.We did not get a single rupee during our course while my friends in other universities and colleges got every month. After completing course and much delay we were given Rs.27, 000/ each in Feb and nothing about the remaining amount was mentioned. Its almost a year after completing our course and the status remains same. We met Principal, registrar, Vice Chancellor several times and even 'dharnas' but nothing changed. Even prominent newspapers carried our situation several times, but the thing remains same. We payed our fees by taking loans from banks and money lenders hoping that we will get stipends every month to pay off, but we were cheated by Andhra university. It is a shame on Andhra University for neglecting the welfare of students. I humbly request students not to join Andhra University, also to enquire before you join any college regrading stipends etc. I will wait for sometime and if at all there is no proper response, I will take a legal action.
