Brand new Blackberry not working

I have a Blackberry 9780 Handset. The service provider is Airtel. The Handset is just 2.5months old and is under warranty and it has lot of problems as follows:
1) Call drop
2) No network signal. Many times it shows SOS for long periods. Re-starting the phone doesn’t help.
3) Sometime calls not being received. Say if somebody is calling me he is not able to reach my mobile even though my mobile has full network connection (Mobile is saying swithch off)
4) Not able to make calls.
. Basically I have been given a "DEFECTIVE" handset in the first place. The Blackberry even went for repair but still the aforesaid problem is persiting. "Airtel Blackberry is very much reluctant is changing this handset and replacing it with a brand new one". I am facing a lot of problems with this DEFECTIVE handset. I am following up with Airtel Blackberry for the last 1.5months but with no effect and solutions. I think they are willing that their Customers should suffer.
