Screen saver not working

My Blackberry-9300 bears product number 357123046490032 has been purchased from Reliance at Shipra Mall, Indirapuram on 05/07.Yesterday, I noted that its screen saver was not working. It was lying in my pocket all throughout and therefore there was no question of any external damage to the instrument. However, to my shock and disbelief, my office boy had been told by the representatives at the Noida service Center that the instrument was physically damaged by some external act and therefore it is not covered by the warranty. All senior officers of my company (FUJITSU) have been using blackberry services and we have been very satisfied it so far. Yesterday's response was however very disappointing. Please take care of it at the earliest.
