Blackberry Pearl 3G 9110
Keypad Problem

I purchased Blackberry Pearl 3G 9110 last year in November from Reliance Store, Ambience Mall, Gurgaon. For 7-8 months I scarcely used it and there was no problem with handset. And when I started using it is was very sparingly for BBM only. It developed problem in the keypad. For every click it would register 2-3 clicks. I went to Redington Center in Lajpat Nagar, New Delhi (Authorised service center for Blackberry). It took more than 1 hour for the staff there to register my complaint and inform me that I will have to wait for 15-20 days as the set has to be sent to the service center. This means this Redington office is only the collection center and the sets go somewhere else for repair (Some place in Gurgaon). After much pursuing I was asked to come to the Lajpat Ngr office of Redington to collect a new handset. It is so surprising that it took them almost a month to decide to give me a replacement set. I would like to add here it took me over 2 hours to get the replacement set. This is the kind of service these guys are providing. Within 1 and a half month it has developed the same problem with the new set that was given to me. I spoke to center manager Rohit and his boss some Mr. Khan and they have no solution. When I wanted to know what is the technical issue with the handset they had no clue and was being given dubious answers. When I asked them to upgrade the set to a higher model if there is any inherent problem with the handset I was informed that during warranty they can keep replacing the handset. I must tell that RIM India sucks. I have been trying to find out the email address of someone in Blackberry so that the issue can be escalated to them as these guys are good for nothing. If someone has the email id of someone in Blackberry office then do let me know at i_mehra@yahoo.com. If nothing will work out I will be approaching consumer forum. Is my time not worth it.
