BPL 29" Celestron TV
TV not getting switched ON

I had a problem with my 8-year old BPL 29" Celestron TV with the power supply. I enquired and called up a BPL technician who came promptly, inspected the TV and told me that spare parts were not available for this model. But he also advised me not to dispose off the TV as it was a good piece... He has made an ad hoc arrangement, but the problem persists and we are having trouble switching ON the TV!!

Please advice me what is to be done?
