Digital Camera Damaged and Not Returned

Hi

I had submitted my Kodak C190 Digital Camera for repairing to the shop 'Camera Hospital', 46 Motisil Street, Dharamatala, Kolkata -13. The camera was in working condition, only the zooming wasn't working properly. It was told by the shop keeper that there is a minor mount damage was there which would take 2-3 hours of time and approximately Rs 1000 to repair.

He had asked me to come a day later and when I visited, I was told the repairing would require Rs 3000 and would be done in a few hours. I waited there only to know that they cannot repair it now and was asked to come a day later again.

Since then I had visited the shop 4-5 times and its more than a month now that they are neither giving me the camera back nor are they repairing it.

Last time I saw the camera, it had stopped working. It is no longer in a working condition and as per the shop keeper, he cannot get it back to the condition I had submitted.

Every time I call or visit, he asks for 2-3 days time and then makes an excuse. He also offered me to sell his camera to him coz he doesnt want to give it back to me.

Please help me as I am getting frustrated and feeling helpless how to get it back in the condition I submitted. I am not in a good health and cannot keep running after.
