Improper operation rendering it semi-automatic

Electronics and household app.
I bought the machine in July. I used it w/o problems till March. It has a two year warranty on it. It was left unused from April right to November while we were in Singapore. On our return to India, we started having problems
- it would start the cycle and after filling water to the required level, the WASH, RINSE and SPIN lights would flash continuously with the cycle at standstill. Their local service center sent a technician and he checked the machine and could find no problem. When the malfunction reoccurred the service technician checked and once again found no fault but suggested that the water flow was low, and that we should augment the water input with another hose. The instruction on your machine states that we should not fill water manually, but sure enough when the water filling is 'assisted' it works well; but then it has to be operated like a semi-automatic. My questions are:
1. When new it worked beautifully with the water flow as existing or even lesser than earlier. Why does it give problems now?
2. What is the minimum recommended water flow in lpm?
I have sent in a complaint to their customer care division but they have not bothered to acknowledge my mail.
