Not working &taking charg since Dece

I had purchased a Inva Queen 500 battery [ Batch No. 309 Serial No. 093388] from M/S Shivam Electronics, baba lokenath market Goshala Bazar, Maligaon Guwahati-11 (Assam) on 03.05. but, it is not working & taking charge since Dec though the inverter is OK. On complaint, the shop keeper stated that your warranty period of 18 month has been passed and nothing will be done from company side. Though a per warranty card, warranty period is up to 2nd May. Please do needful repair or replacement.
