Cheating on Blackberry Warranty

FINE FONE SOLUTIONS Jayanagar is listed as an Authorized Service center for Blackberry. I had taken my Blackberry bought 8 months back to them since the scroll was not working. They kept the set for 2 weeks and sent me photographs that it is water damaged and that a replacement would cost Rs 7500. When I declined I was cahrged Rs 200 for Inspection charges (though my product is covered under 18 months warranty)

Later wehn I approached the shop of purchase, Sangeetha Mobiles, they confirmed that the phone has not yet been opened and the seal is intact. Further they confirmed no Water damage and arranged another Support center who will fix it free of charge.

FINE FONE SOLUTIONS, Bangalore is CHEATING customers and spoiling the goodwill of Blackberry Brand in the market. I advice all Blackberry customers who have been cheated by this approach Consumer Court to recover all damages. In my case I had to buy a new set in teh interim paying Rs 9200 in addition to Rs 200 that I was charged as Inspection Charges.
