Regarding Warranty Period

Hi,
I (Srinivas Kassa) bought one mobile 3 months back and I got the know that there is 6 months warranty period for that product.
After 3 months, I got to know that there is an invalid IMEI number for that mobile. I have requested the manufacturer department and they are ready to replace to product.
Now, My question s that they are calculating warranty period from the first date (means 3 months back)... so now for the replaced product having the notice period is only 3 months..
I am feeling that the policy of notice period is wrong if the the product has been replaced...
Suppose, if anything happend to the product just one week to complete the notice period... if they replace the product at that time... and if any issues happens to the new product after a week... there is no warranty period as they calculate the warranty period from the first date of the old product which is completed.
So, my openion is that if the product has been replaced... the warranty period should start from that date when they deliver the new product instead of continueing the old product date (warranty period)...
Please suggest...
Thanks
Srinivas Kassa
