Godrej
Asking to pay charges thou my refrigerator is in warranty

Electronics and household app.

Sir,

My Godrej refrigerator is out of order for last 7 days & I am suffering a lot for the same.

Its a double door refrigerator which I have purchases that in 2006 & as per the warranty doc same is under warranty for the compressor only.

I have lodged the complaint for the same on 16.12.2009 void comp no. 276935 & they confirmed me that they will charge Rs 350/- for the visit only though the same is under warranty.

As I don’t have any other option I approves the same & somebody visited my residence on 17.02.2009.

I paid Rs 350/- for the visit charge & they confirmed me that compressor is defective & needs to be replaced.

They also told that compressor will be replaced on FOC, but I have to pay another Rs 1200/- for gas filling & other activity.

I was totally surprised, as they are charging more than Rs 1500/- within the warranty period for no fault of mine.

My complaint are:-

1. In the warranty doc no where it is mentioned that the replacement of the compressor will be chargeable, but still they are asking for Rs 1500/- when the same is in warranty.

2. Gas will come out while changing the compressor by their technician. Customer has nothing to do with this, then why a customer will be penalize for that.

3. They are harassing ne for last 7 days. I need a compensation for the same

I hope you will do the needful & complete repair will be done on FOC.

Regards

Dipak Saha
