Godrej Refrigerator Double Door 31DY 294 L
Not Cooling, Compressors not working

I had purchased a Godrej Fridge 31DY (294L) in Feb'2011 at Sonovision, Rajahmundry. It stopped working in May'2011 as it was not cooling at all. When contacted local service center of Godrej, they sent a mechanic in Mid- May'2011. After checking he replied that compressor needs to be replaced and it is not in stock. They shall order and within a week it wil be replaced. But when I found that even after a month, there is no positive development, I lodged my complaint to Godrej Customer care (Complaint no. 583309 date of complaint 17th June'2011). But even now nothing has been done. I have talked to them atleast 30 times, but to no avail. On 9 th July' I got a call from Service ceneter at Rajahmundry that probably the compresors has come and they shall confirm the same. They aslo said I have to pay Rs. 350 as Service charge for this "Wonderful Service" they have provided in peak of summer and along with other charges for Gas, Packing etc., I have to pay Rs. 1700/- But main point to note is they still have not responded and attended the problem. I feel I am in fact eligiblle for compenstaion for this utter negligent attitude. Sir, I still do not know what more I should do and out of frustration only, I am knocking your door so that my grievance shall be settled. I request you to kindly do needful towards this end and guide me.

I cant believe how can such reputed firm like Godrej shirk their resposibility when their product is not working. One final suggestion:
