I have a htc touch pro 2 from t-mobile. About 2 weeks ago my phone died while i was driving home. I plugged the phone to charge as soon as i got home. i noticed about 2 hours later my phone was booting up to the windows screen then shutting off. i called htc right away, and the gentlemen told me that i had to do a hard reset. i performed the hard reset and soft reset. he then instructed me on downloading the new rom to the phone, but after 2 hours on the phone and updating the software, nothing. He then instructed me on having the phone repaired since my device was still under warranty. I shipped the phone out the very next day and waited until today to call to check on the status of my phone. I was then informed that a void sticker was broken wand that my warranty was voided, and that the repair was going to cost $370.00. I became upset knowing that the phone was never tampered with. He told me that there was nothing that could be done. i argued that it was not broken when the phone was sent. I checked right before mailing the phone off to them. I told him that there technician must have broke the seal not realizing what he was doing, and that it was probably a mistake and he was covering his ass by claiming it was tampered with. I have researched this online and have found many people have had the same or similar problem with htc. Do not buy htc products!!! they are all scam artist!!
