Terrible service/ an inffectual maintenance contract

The washing machine stopped working on 9th July. (It is only 20 months old and that itself was a suprise!) Called the service executive who had sold us the maintenance contract. He led us for a song and dance for 4 days, giving us a time slot and not turning up. Some of his excuses were as lame as 'it's raining'. He then stopped taking calls. Finally called the service centre. They came and took the machine away after three days! promising to deliver it teh next day. It is the 7th day now and every day on follow up I have been told that it is being tested or that transport is not available or that it will despatched early morning the next day. When I raised a stink about it today they say the part is out of stock and it will take another five days. So her I am with a practically new washing machine that is priced top of the range, a price that I stupidly paid for German technology that I thought would never let me down, with an equally expensive prepaid service maintenance contract, spending half my mrnings hand washing clothes. The only thing that even senior people can say is 'Sorry' - a word that they believe makes up for everything. The message is loud and clear. NEVER BUY AN IFB product ever again. And dissuad eanyone who is stupid enough to believe that the brand promise is credible
