New battery discharging within 8 to 10 hrs

I have recently got replaced battery from authorised service centrre address paliwal market, Kota. But battery is discharging within 8 to 10 hrs and set shuting down. This complaint was in existance before changing of battery also. Service centre asking me to get replace whole plate which is told costing around Rs.900/-.Please suggest right step. mobile set was puchased before 30 months.
