LG Washing machine is not reliable

We purchased LG front load washing machine (LG WD-80490TP) in Aug. This machine has hardly been used since then, as we were not in India. We started using it only from last six months. Recently the machine started giving lot of noise while working. We called the LG customer service person, he came checked something for hardly 1 min and said some part “spider” needs to be replaced and it will cost around Rs 5500.

Usually washing machine type of products have high reliability and works seamlessly for number of years. We brought this high end machine paying Rs 21000/- thinking that it will last long.

The LG customer care is saying it never happens in their product and it’s your bad luck that it happened and they can’t do anything because it’s not in warranty.

Do you think after having this experience, I will recommend LG product to anybody?
