LG MICROWAVE OVEN MC801-AR
FOOD TRAY NOT ROTATING/LIGHT NOT WORKING

My Rs 11, 000 worth microwave oven stopped functioning after only 4 years of service. LG technician after inspection told me it cant be repaired as the electric control pcb spare is not kept in stock . besides 4years is a long time we dont have spares for even two year old stuff!

I am a practicing electronics engineer and know almost for sure that the processor may have partially failed as the timer works, MAGNETRON works only the food tray does not rotate and light does not come on.

it is so easy for them to ask me to dump this machine and buy a new machine and they offered a princely some of Rs 500 for the junk.

I have looked for the processor on the internet but its not available.

How could a company of some repute abandon its customer in this fashion, if the spare is not available in Calcutta it could be there in delhi/mumbai /chennai but that was not enquired, I know because it was done in front of me.

under the circumstances I insist that LG repairs this this device or arranges spare semiconductors.
