LG should call back the faulty plasmas. Why selling low quality products?

Bought LG Plasma TV Model 32PC5R in June. While watching TV 2 days back, heard a sound. The picture just died. Now the screen is blank.

Warranty period got over in last June. The technician sent by customer care says that the display panel has gone bad. Needs to be replaced and the cost will be above 10, 000Rs (excludes the services charges and the taxes). And he says there is no specific reason this happened.

So in less than 2 yrs, I have to spend such huge amount again?

Checked for this problem on www and found large number of people facing same problem across the globe. (sample: http://forums.cnet.com/7723-7596_102-308710.html)

So many people facing same problem for same product category, clearly indicates something wrong with the product itself. Why on earth LG isn't looking into the actual problem and selling the plasma TVs.

Really disappointed with LG. But does LG care?
