Touch screen gone bad in warranty period

Hi,

I had buy Micromax qube cell phone in month of october, its touch screen gone bad,

i give it to jayanagar (Bangalore) service center 25 days back, but i didn't get back my cell phone till today. they are just saying they dont have touch screen

is it warrenty means coustumer have to suffer more than a month or you just promiss to coustumer that you will fix it but coustumer have to buy new cell phone till you didn't able to fix it???
