The Company Naaptol has been advertising regularly in leading newspapers like the Times of India. After seeing their advertisement I placed a order for a BOSS 3300 ephone for Rs.3999 shipping charges Rs.200. Received the delivery of the phone on 17th May'10. The ad promised items worth Rs.2000. But the worst part is the phone does not work at all. The warranty period is 6 months and the warranty card sent by them has been stamped January although phone has been purchased in May. That is outright cheating. Besides instead of earphone, there are 2 pairs of USB cables. The TF card reader also does not work at all. The battery does not get charged at all. The ad boasts of good stantby and talktime. None of these features are present in the phone. There is no option of setting the country in which u are located. The countrys displayed do not have India at all.
On registering complaint with Naaptol, they want the phone to be couriered back to them. They say dealer will not accept hand delivery. Thats another way of cheating another Rs.200. They dont talk about refund at all, even 50%. They seem to have cheated a number of clients. They need to be taken to the consumer court.
