Nikon Coolpix S220
Non-functioning of the camera for the last 5 months

Dear Sir,

I would like to inform you that I had bought A Nikon digi cam (s220), 1 and a half years back and even before the warranty period of the said product would expire the product resulted in a mal-functioning state and all of a sudden it stopped to start-up.

The product came with 1 1extended warranty. And even after repeated persuation at your service centre, to make the camera functioning within the guarantee period, the service centre (Capital Electronics, Kolkata, India) said that the repairement is chargeable.(dated: August:2011)

I would like to know from the authority of the world renown company NIKON why the company is keeping their customers in a state of ambiguity by saying the term 1 1 year warranty when it is not at all so? And also like to put a question on the quality of the product that is been sold, which results in mal-functioning within 2 years, even before the said product's warranty period expires.

The warranty period is going to expire on 25th October. It will be very kind of you if you please take the necessary measures so that I can get my camera back to normal state of service, free of cost under intimation to the service centres immidiately
