Dear Sir,
This is a complaint against AUTHORISED PHILIPS SERVICE CENTER - KALYAN NAME: GOLDEN ELECTRONICS.
My Philips DVD has been given for repairing on 09.07.2011 -Despite of repeated followup with proprietor, thru mails and thru customer care they have not responded in time and service center trying to grab more money from me by stating fault with the DVD main PCB.
Please find enclosed herewith details of follow up done by me with the proprietor and thereafter I had sent final letter to him for clarification.

I would like to know which exact part is required to repair my DVD.
1. Why you had not given me work order number when I handed over DVD at your service Center for
repairing? Is there any restriction laid by PHILIPS on authorized service centers like you, to adhere
and implement policies and guidelines laid down by PHILIPS for giving better services to the customers?
2. The reason for calling you for servicing was the DISC TRAY WAS LOCKED and it is not working
properly.
3. When first time I had lodged complaint telephonically and your service engineer visited my residence,
he told me that due to failure of IC the trey is not working and need to change the IC. During his
inspection neither he had noticed / found any other problem with DVD nor he has update us anything
about main PCB. Also the Job sheet prepared by him is self explainery stating that SET IN DISC MODE and nothing else.
3. DVD given to you on 09.07.2011 thereafter despite of repeated follow up thru telephones, mail s and
PHILIPS authorized call centers neither you nor PHILIPS bothered to give proper feedback about my
said machine, You both have failed to inform me exact problem with the DVD and cost for repair till
19.08.2011?
3. I had been sent you five Reminder mails and informed you that DVD required very urgently as we
had family function on 15.08.2011 though you have not bothered to inform status of the product.
4. After 1 ½ month you are stating that the problem is with main PCB and repairing cost will be
Rs.5651/-
5. It is surprise that how this main PCB problem has arise after 1 ½ month? Why you had not informed
me earlier when you had noticed it and why after one and half month?
6. Your action is doubtful, suspicious. I feel, you are doing all acts purposely to gain maximum money
from me.
The problem was just with the Disc trey and not else. The quoted amount is very high and I don’t believe on your quote.
Further, as marketing strategy PHILIPS has neither left any option to customers to collaborate another DVD with existing speakers nor same DVD model is available in the market.
Being an authorized dealer you have failed to give the proper services to the customer and your act has lead to made harassment for no faults of me by quoting irrelevant fault of the machine and quoting wrong price for services.
Therefore you have called upon to explain me within seven days from date of this notice, why not to initiate legal action against you for harassment and wasting of my time, failing which I shall proceed to lodge the complaint against you and same shall be entirely at your own risk as to all costs and consequences which may please be noted.
