Insects inside the sealed packet

I bought a packet of Lion Dates one week ago. The cover showed the manufacturing date is Jan. But when we opened it, small insects were running in it. And moreover it was not fresh and pure. Locally packed dates are available in the market for cheap rate. since the people think a company product is good they are buying the product by giving high price. If the company is not ensuring the quality for the product how can it be used as a health supplement?
