WORST NIGTHMARE - CUSTOMER SERVICE

I recently ordered a sofa and 2 bean bags from the famous antony furniture’s. In spite of having so may offers from different companies in newspapers. We chose this company to buy for one reason it close to our residence.

I ordered on 02/10/09 and paid a advance of 50% on the total value apprx rs.9000/-. the expected date of delivery was 18/10/09 and they offered to take our old sofa for exchange which we were not happy with exchange rate. We tried calling them to chk on the status to find out if we could get before diwali... but there is started... FIRST there no responsible person to answer our call nor give us a status... when ever we called the manager was missing from the shop (god knows if somebody in the name stil exists)... suddenly we got a call one day to let us that we will not get the color we wanted and to make alternate choice... we still agreed and choose a alternate color... some one will pick up ur call and tell u that they call back in 5 mins, 1 hr on the status but i have never received any call... i have wasted numerous calls on them... at last today we tried to get hold of person who said that there was a traffic jam during transit and it is getting delayed ..but we will have to pay the balance amt before that... i offered to give a chk on delivery but... THEY WOULD NOT BELIVE THE CUSTOMER WHO HAS PAID A ADVANCE WITHOUT ANY DISBELIEF... I OFFERED TO HANDOVER CASH ON DELIVERY... BUT STILL THEY WOULD NOT AS THEY EXECUITVE IS ON LEAVE AND CANNOT ACCOMPANY ON DELIVERY... WE ALSO TRIED TO CANCEL THE ORDER JUST NOT TAKE ANYMORE HASSELS... BUT THEY WOULD NOT... NEVER EVER FACED SUCH UNIQUE PROBLEM... WE HAVE NEITHER OUR MONEY NOR OUR FURNITURE... I WOULD NEVER RECOMEND ANY ONE TO THEM . WOULD REQUEST THE SOME SENIOR PERSON TO TAKE THIS ISSUE
