Reimbursement

I have submitted the entire required documents for my wife's medical reimbursement, however, submission of the documents was delayed due to some valid reasons. I spoke to the representative from FHPL who had come to my office and he said it's alright even if you are late to submit the documents. You need to get an approval from the HR, which was done. Please advise.
