Dear All,
This is bring to your notice the casual and irresponsible way of your staff dealing with new clients.
I am Amit Kumar Chaudhary and we are based out of Noida. My wife name is Rashmi Singh and she is employed with Noida district hospital as a medical counsellor. Rahul (cell number: 91 9582482175) from IHO office contacted my wife and were able to convince her for buying a policy. Though we already have a mediclaim policy with another vendor still she asked me to go for it as she found it interesting with the nature of claims and discount that your agent promised her during the time of selling the policy against which she was charge INR 3100. I failed to understand why such tall claims were promised to her like getting a discount of 25% - 30% on nearest chemist store on medicines plus genaral merchandise like beauty products etc which when we called on toll free number:1800 103 4466 it came to our notice that the dicount is witin 8% - 10% and only on medicines. We also need to go to a New Delhi chemist shop to avail it which was quie frustrating. she was given a discount card with serail number: 21495 which was issued her in April last month and validity of card was showen as till next 3 months i.e July for which she objected to the agent. The agent told her that it would be corrected next working day. Now after this whole episode we have tried getting in touch with this agent of your's but he fails to address us and after talking him twice he told my wife that he would get back us her on this issue in 24 hours which has not happened till today. Priyanka from your contact centre called my wife again, shes the person who called my wife in the first place and misguided her throughout the conversation regarding claims and discounts. My wife again called on toll free number twice and Mr. Ullas from your contact centre spoke to my wife and told her they would get back to her on this issue in another 24 hrs which was in April last month. We have not received any calls of assistance till yet. My wife has already passed through so much mental agony with dealing with staff of IHO as she holds herself responsible for taking this policy irrespective of myself telling her not to subscribe to this in the very first place.
I am really astonished and angry on the fact that such a reputed organisation like IHO is engaging in malpractises like luring custmers into subscribing your policy on false claims and misguided conversations. I would like to cancel the subscription and have full amount refunded on immediate basis. My wife who is working in Noida district hospital has already warn the whole staff for not subscribing to IHO policy in future. I have also decide to move Cosumer Forum and present my case if I am not refunded my money after this.
I am expecting a timely and quick response from IHO this time and would expect the association to consider this issue on priority basis. Any further communication will be through me and not my wife from hereon.
Waiting for your response,
Amit Kumar Chaudhary
