Personally I felt Kakde Nursing Home had no other intention than to make/ squeeze money.
Below incidents made me get the opinion.
Dt: 17/3
1. As we (me along with my Friend) entered the Nursing Home, the receptionist wrote a slip on my friends name for consultation with out mentioning the charges, when we inquired regarding the appointment; we were told that doctor will be on break from 7:30 - 8 PM, which sounded ridiculous as it is the peak time for any "business".
When we said that we can't wait so much time the receptionist was demanding the slip charges and was looking as if she was losing some money. Finally she suggested that there was an ENT doctor who would also look at general (fever) cases. After waiting for 10min or so they called us in.
Doctor: Hari Kakde
The courtesy he showed was really great. But we didn't understand his motive to get money from us. There were 4 nurses inside a 10 * 7 sqft room. They maintained medical shop inside that big room itself.
I told him I was feeling weak and gained little temperature this evening. I thought he will check my body temperature. But he was an ENT doctor, he checked my throat, checked my pulse and checked heart beat with a stethescope. He told me that I had an infection and told a disease name! @#$%^&*. Doesn't he know that common people will not understand this jargon? I told him to tell clearly. He said I may be drinking cool drinks due to which I got some throat infection. (Damn it I got fever man not throat pain). He asked me if I had any ear pain, breathing problem). He is an MBBS doctor before doing DLO, DHA, FCIP. I think he forgot the basics. He didn't test my body temperature and started writing some medicines. He asked one of the 4 nurses in the room to pick few medicines.
1. Aziswift 250mg 6 tabs 1-0-1
2. A3 3 tabs 1/2-0-1/2
3. Trancet 3 tabs 1-0-1
I reminded him again that I had fever and if he gave me a paracetamol? He said A3 has some percentage of paracetamol. I was not convinced with the treatment but I didn't have energy to argue. We moved from there and the receptionist gave us a shock.
She asked us to pay 300/- (200 for the 5 min hopeless consultation ever got from a doctor) and 100/- for the 3 sets of tables (6, 3, 3 tablets). We asked for itemized bill but she rounded it to 100 for our convenience or their. We argued with her that 300 is too much for the treatment I got, she didn't have any courtesy and changed her word that 250 is for consultation and 50 for medicines. We were shocked to see this user friendly billing plan. We told her on her face that we will not come to this hospital again. She was not bothered and was smiling and said thank you.
The 2 mistakes we did were; 1 - going to Kakde Nursing Home, 2 - Agreeing to meet ENT doctor for fever case. But he was an MBBS doctor so I don't think I should be treated like this.
This is solely my personal experience and opinion. You can feel free to drop a mail if you want some clarifications.

Anand
