Report Medical Negligence on behalf of Doctors/Nursing home resulted in loss of my new born Son

Sir/Madam,

I wanted to bring in light a case of sheer medical negligence which resulted in loss of my new born son at a private nursing home (Shiva Nursing home, Patal Margh, Vishnu Puri Aligarh) managed and run by Dr. Nalini Garg and family.

The Series of events which lead to this disaster on my family were as below

1. My wife got admitted to above nursing home on 1st May for Delivery with no complication as per reports.

2. The delivery was due on 2nd May at 4:30 AM (presumed to be a normal delivery).

3. Medication started 1st day itself, along with required pain killers and regular gulocose.

4. Major Labour pain started around 11:00 PM on 1st May. Doctors still insisted on normal Delivery.

5. She was taken to Operation theater /Delivery room around 1:15 AM 2nd May. Doctors still insisted on Normal Delivery.

6. Major turn happened when the unborn child released his first motion (early stool) also called meconium. This was informed to us by doctors at 2:15 AM 2nd May.

7. No immediate action was taken by doctors and they were still insisting on Normal delivery.

8. My wife was sedated to a level where she had no conscience of herself around 3:00 AM

9. She was consistently insisting the doctor to have the operation done without delay.

10. Around 4:00 AM when my mom had forcefully visited the Delivery room and observed pitiful condition of my wife. She insisted the doctors to immediately go for operation without wait. Doctor still insisted on Normal delivery even when my wife was highly sedated.

11. Operation was conducted thereafter at 4:30 AM and the baby was born on 2nd May with complications (no cry) and was to be put into immediate ventilator.

12. There was no Ventilation facility available with current hospital because of which we shifted to Shukhdha Nursing home Aligarh. This further added to a delay of about 1 hour.

13. The shifting was arranged by the existing doctor without any proper medical facility/Masks. Even when the my new born son had troubles in breathing.

14. On physical observation at the new hospital it was told to us that this complication was the result of late delivery and a case of acute meconium.

15. The baby was on Vantinaton at Shukhdha for 1 day and on advice from doctor the baby was transferred to Apollo on 3rd May.

16. On physical observation at Apollo it was clear that this delivery was delayed because of which the whole complication came.

17. The baby had his last breadth after struggling for life on 12th May.

The whole purpose to bring this sequence of events in front of you is to give you assessment of the situation we were in and the delay caused in delivery which is sheer medical negligence of doctor that caused this tragedy to fall upon my family.

I cannot get back what I have lost, but would want to ensure that such unhealthy practices do not prevail and mislead people like us to such depths.
