On 3rd April I submitted application to change my landline broadband plan as BBG FN COMBO 600 at Kalyan West Kala Talav exchange.
The new plans were released by BSNL on 18th March.
The lady at the counter said that Kalyan telecom is not aware of plan change and I have to select the plan from what is listed on their BLUE NOTICEBOARD.
I selected HOME 500 C which has 2.5 GB / Upto 2 Mbps / Night Unlimted / 50 Free calls.
The lady give me acknowledgement with request number 8000096130 which didnt mention which plan I had changed.
On 5th April when I logged into the portal 10.240.240.195 using my user id, it showed me that I have BBG FN COMBO 500 plan.
I was shocked. As this was the older Combo 599 plan which I didnt opt for, this plan has 1.5 GB data limit against my current 2.5 GB data limit.
If the lady at the counter said was true, my plan should have been changed to HOME 500 C instead of BBG FN COMBO 500
Old: Combo 599 - - > New: BBG FN COMBO 500 (what I didnt want but given)
Old: Home 500 C - - > New: BBG FN COMBO 600 (what I wanted)
Now I have to live with paltry 1.5 GB limit for the month. If I would not have verified and used more than 2 GB thinking my limit is 2.5 GB then they would have promptly charged me for extra usage.
BSNL Kalyan billing department and Internet dept are not in sync. They always create these problems.
I think BSNL KALYAN TELECOM doesnt need customers.
