I have been a customer of Tata Indicom "Always On" postpaid plan for one year now. And in that course of time, have had a variety of complaints, which i have listed below (latest complaint first)
1. My connection is currently inactive, and customer service cannot tell me why. The bill due date is 20th Sept, and i have already paid my bill, yet connection is inactive. Complaint has been lodged 2 days ago, no response.
2. As per my usage log, i have downloaded 3600MB of data on a single day, which is impossible. Hence i can conclude that someone (if not the company itself) is bumping up usage to increase revenue.
3. Last month i had downtime of more than 7 days. they have given me a credit of 36 rupees.
4. I have lodged several complaints in the past, none of which have been proactively addressed, and i spend more time and money following it up
5. Billing - Their broadband bill structure is not only confusing, but also prone to changes, and so i have a feeling i have been overcharged several times.
6. Extremely poor customer service: which has no technical access, such as releasing an account on confirmation of payment. Plus they can hardly communicate properly. They also are mostly rude and uncooperative
Going by these, i am yet to figure out a better alternative. BSNL seems much better. But it is sad that TATA is associated with such a pathetic quality of service. Obviously noone is looking at customer satisfaction as a key service differentiator in that company. I would welcome suggestions as to how i go ahead and formally take the above issues up against the company
