Fraud, false promise of gift and took away 13000 from my credit card

Booking ID: IB887766178 - as given to me.

I got a call from Alex (he told his cell number is: 9990167499, though this number doesn’t work!) and he promised me many things, he said he is calling from India today book club:

1. You are among the eight lucky winners and if you pay 12498 now then you avail:

1.1 ICICI gift voucher of 60, 000 which will be valid for a year!

1.2 Domestic holiday package with to and fro air ticket for 2 night and 3 days!

1.3 Samsumg mobile (Omnia) of worth rs 18000.00

Though, I was cheated once for a holiday package (see the attached email) but once again I believed you guys and paid the amount via by stan chart credit card.

Alex promised me that I will receive email confirmation and SMS from ICICI for the same. I didn’t receive anything.

Today, I called up for your call center (011- 40502424) and surprisingly he said the booking ID is invalid.

I am totally clueless on what to do!

Can any one help me to get my money back! At least govt should protect consumers from such online fraud. And this india book club guys are just running an online cheating organization. I am not sure how a reputed group like India today do like this!

Expecting a speedy reply from you else I will go to consumer forum against you!
