Hi,

I had a airtel DSL landline (080 - 42002113) connection with Rs. 799/- pm unlimited plan. I have applied for shifting of connection as I was moving to new rented house. The new house is just one street away of the previous. I have raised a shifting request on Nov 16th. While raising the shifting request I was told to carry all the equipment to new house. The connection was given at the new house. But, not activated. After many calls, I was told that connection at the new address is not feasible due to unavailability of ports in that area by the hardware engineer of that exchange. I have told the same guy to terminate the connection and take the equipment back. He said yes. So, from Nov 16th itself I don't have a connection at all. But, I used to get the bill after every month. I have raised the concern over this. For that, they said they will rise waiver and I don't need worry any more. The billed amount kept on accumulating and reached around 2500. Then they started reacting. Some body from airtel came to my house asking that they will reactivate the same number (all of sudden, connection is feasible at my new address) and give discount for future too. But, it did not happen. I have called up the airtel customer care several times and explained every thing that happened. Few of them said we will raise a waiver. Few of them said they will raise a waiver. Few of them told me to pay some discounted amount. As I was told that I will get the new connection if I pay par of the amount, I did that too (Paid charges for the used period on pro rata basis Rs.639 extra). But, strangely they started telling me that (which they never told in the past 3 months) you have to pay 60% of the charges atleast with in 30 days of the bill due date, as you have not paid it with in 30 days waiver got rejected and you have to pay the full amount. Absolutely different from what the other executive told. Mean while, some body from AirTel bill collection department came to my house and behaved like any thing, said we will send you legal notice and left.

All this story is happening from last 4 months and really really got frustrated to the peek. AirTel knows that I haven't had a connection at new address and there is no usage from the old connection. Even then they are playing with me. They just want to hole the pocket of the customer. They are just acting as computers (which takes a command process with out any thinking) not as humans. Even when I tried to explain it, they were talking to me as an IVR, not as human executives. I would really thank any body who can help me out in this regard.
