Airtel Broadband - Poor customer care service
This complaint is regarding the fraudulent activities in Airtel Broadband and the irresponsible nodal/appellate officers. I have been following up for three months for the refund of payment made towards Airtel Broadband Services. The Airtel Marketing Team in spite of highlighting the fraud, is still not willing to refund the money. Airtel Service is pathetic. The below text is the mail sent to nodal officers providing details of the incident. I only get a intermediate mail and no action.
Mail Sent to Nodal Officers.
This email is sent to you regarding my Complaint on non-refund of money paid
for broadband connection. (Enrollment form CH-1191317). Please accept my
apologies for the lengthy email providing details on the case. I do not
remember all the dates of all the events. I have provided few dates which was
tracked with my calendar. In case if you need more details/evidence please
refer to customer care call recordings for the complaint no I have provided.
I received a call from Priya ¿ 8939023775 (Retail airtel vendor) providing
details about various broadband offers in Airtel. She confirmed that airtel
connection was available in my area and that the connection will be provided
within 2 working days. I paid rupees in advance 1000 towards airtel unlimited
plan as one time charges. I waited for a week and then called the customer care
number to find that there was no connectivity in my area and the sales was made
fraudulently.
I logged the first ticket on 10th of July and requested for the refund of
money. The customer care officer said that the deadline for receiving the money
will be 25th of July. I requested for the complaint no and the customer
care officer provided 522904026 which is not a valid ticket/complaint number. I
did not receive my refund till 28th July and called customer care officer
Mr. Anbu (complaint no ¿ 1709942) who confirmed that 522904026 is not a valid
request. Anbu confirmed that on 3rd August I will be getting a refund. I
waited for the refund and did not receive.
I called Ms. Shalini (complaint no ¿ 2098244) who confirmed that the request is
still under process and will receive within a week. I called customer care
again after not receiving the refund with new complaint no ¿ 1719984. The
customer care officer said that the request is cancelled as the sales team has
rejected and directed to log a new request which is ticket no - 1719984. I
again waited for a week to find that my request was turned down as I did not
receive my refund. I called customer care again and received a confirmation
that my request will be processed in a day. I had to call again as there was
failure to process my request. Today, I called up customer care and was
informed that my request is in open status and not processed. I requested for a
complaint no but the customer care officer said that they cannot create any
more complaints on this case. They confirmed that the reason for delay on
request processing is due to no response from the internal team.
I have briefed the incident that happened during July and August. My brother is
using airtel services at home and office for more than 3 yrs. I opted for
airtel connection after his comment on airtel service excellence. I understand
that I will not have access to airtel broadband service in my area but the
worst case is that I still have not received my refund or a confirmation on
deadline for receiving the refund. I sincerely apologize for having this
concern addressed to you as there was no resolution till now from the customer
care units. Can you please look into this grievance and provide me resolution
ASAP.
