Issue relating to Airtel broadband service are :
Arbitrarily changed the Broadband plan to higher speed plan even though customer never requested any change, In addition charged Rs 100 for changing the plan (no request from consumer).
When pointed out that no request was made for plan change, Airtel will agree to change your plan to original plan. They will charge another Rs 100 for going back to the original plan note no change was requested by customer to tamper with original plan) asking the customer. Now beauty of all this is that a month has passed when a customer notices extra charges from the new bill.
Customer is forced to to pay the extra charges (enhanced speed) for atleast a month or more (no request from customer for enhanced speed). Calculate this amount to millions of customer.
Now the AIRTEL has expanded this scheme further (or what I call a FRAUD). How?
Subscriber will receive a pop-up every time they log-in, asking customer to OPT for higher speed. Despite a subscriber deciling EACH time the message for many days. This message is never Acknowledge by Airtel, So a subscriber WILL CONTINUE to get the message for days, Till the time subscriber inadvertently hit the enter button, THEN VOILA, you have Automatically subcribed to a new service. Another Rs 799 will be added to your bill. When you ask the customer service the Blame is on the customer that they have requested this service.
In Total, a Rs 700 per month bill has gone up to Rs 1800, through ingenuity of Mr Bharti/Airtel.
while many unsuspecting customer will pay this EXTRA amount (amounting to many crores) some of us will leave all work & sort out this mess created by company.
A definately, very wonderfulful scheme to defaud public at large. Airtel knows that they will get away with this
