Being Billed for A Connection I requested to be Cancelled

I had two Airtel Connections at home in the name of my father Mr. Paresh Gupta. One of them was being used for the purpose of Internet and the other one to make calls. End of April we received a call from Airtel, offering us a Wi-fi Connection on the number that was being used by us to make calls. Early May we got it installed and on behalf of my father, I gave a call to Airtel Customer Care to lodge a request for cancellation of the Internet Broadband number (011-41667882) as we didn't need two internet connections at home and we never made any calls from this second number. Time and again I received calls from Airtel, pestering me to convert the internet broadband number to another billing-plan and retain this number. Despite of me denying it every time, they kept calling and actually without my permission, changed my existing internet broadband plan to another plan without my knowledge. A month later I receive a bill for the number (011-41667882) despite of my not using that connection at all. I felt duped and frustrated. Above all, One of the calls given to me by a female executive from Airtel in the Month of May was extremely rude. When I told her that I wasn't interested in the call plans she was trying to offer me, she hung up the phone on me and changed my internet plan to the new plan WITHOUT my consent. I can't recall her name but am sure Airtel records all call conversations for their internal training and auditing purpose. So I would like to complaint for rude behavior of this customer care executive
My First Complaint Number (1040188) to Airtel for cancellation of phone number (011-41667882) was in the month of May (8.05.2010) 2010.
On 11 June after receiving a bill for services not availed by me, I again called Airtel and instead of listening to my woes, they gave me a fresh Complaint No. 33738004. The Customer Care Executive did tell me to not pay the bill though.
About a week later again I got a call from Airtel asking me why I was getting my connection cancelled and again pestering me to change my existing plan to someother plan else transfer my connection to a friend. On 16th June a representative from Airtel came to my house to collect the unpaid bill for the number 011-41667882.I am thoroughly irritated as this seems to be a cheap way of fleecing money from customers. On 23rd June, again my father received a call from Airtel to pay the bill. I again called Airtel and instead of having an answer, they gave me another complaint number (34196824).
This seems endless and we are being forced to pay for services which we requested for cancellation and have NOT Availed since the time of our first request. We had completely disconnected out laptop from the broadband wire on the number (011-41667882). I want to know what legal action can be taken against Airtel.
